WE ARE NICHOLAS ELECTRIC... These are the skilled members of the Nicholas Electric Team. From here you can take a look at the individual bios and qualifications of each member of the crew. This is a close-knit team and they consider themselves more like family than mere coworkers. When you have an electrical project that needs done, these are the people you can trust to do the job right. President: Myron "Nick" Glova Nick was born and raised in Rankin Borough, in the east suburbs of Pittsburgh. He graduated General Braddock HS in 1973. In 1974 he started working at US Steel, Homestead works, participating in their apprenticeship course. While working full time at US Steel Nick attended Dean Technical Institute and received an associates degree in Electrical Technology. After the demise of US Steel in 1984 Nick worked in Virginia Beach as an electrician for Arc Electric Company wiring Farm Fresh Supermarkets, the largest supermarkets on the east coast at that time. After working for various electricians Nick partnered with John Hejnosz to form Nicholas Electric Company Inc. Nick has over thirty years of experience in the electrical field working with residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Nick currently is the mayor of Rankin Borough and will begin another four year term in January 2010. Vice President/Secretary : John M. Hejnosz John was born in Braddock, PA and was raised in North Braddock. He graduated from Scott High School in 1970. John served two years in the Army, where he was stationed in Germany. Upon discharge, he worked in the Steel fabrication industry for several years before being laid off when U.S. Steel downsized. He went to Penn Technical Institute and received an associates degree in Electronic Technology. After gaining experience, John partnered with Nick Glova to form Nicholas Electric Co. Inc. John has over twenty-five years of experience in the electrical field. He is enthusiastic hockey fan and enjoys spending his free time with his family Supervisor/Foreman: John E. G. Bird John graduated from Taylor Alderdice in 1995. He attended Dean Technical Institute and received an associates degree in electrical technology in 1996. John also worked as an electrician with his father the late, John, G. Bird Jr. in the Greenfield and surrounding areas. John started working with Nicholas Electric in 1998 and was quickly recognized for his strong work ethic and his broad knowledge of electrical applications and wiring methods. He recently completed the wiring of the Wild Card store and connecting apartment complex in Lawrenceville. He has a beautiful wife, Lisa Bird, and two children. He loves spending time with his family and he is a sports fanatic. Supervisor/Foreman: James R. Chusko Jr. Jim graduated from Woodland Hills High School in the churchhill area. He received an associates degree from Forbes Road Technical School. He worked for various electrical contractors before joining the Nicholas Electric Family in 1999. Jim has a beautiful wife named Kristi and has two lovely daughters, Lexi 11 and Angela 13. Jim is the go-to technical adviser of Nicholas Electric and is well versed in modern communication/data wiring, as well as a strong commercial wiring background. Some of his work at Nicholas Electric includes the wiring of the Allstate Insurance Agency in Oakmont. Jim and his family are avid sports fans and enjoy bowling, and traveling. Electrician: Monte McCluskey Monte graduated from Baldwin High School in 2004 and continued his education at Dean Technical institute where he obtained an associates degree electrical technology in 2005. He worked as an electrical technician at WemCo Homestead and joined the Nicholas Electric family in 2006. He enjoys spending time with family and friends and is an enthusiastic fan of Pittsburgh sports. Electrician: Gregory R. Varasse Gregory graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1999. He Graduated from Dean Institute of technology in 2007 with a specialized, Electrical Technology associates degree. From 2002 through 2007 Greg worked as a maintenance technician at Forbes Management while studying Business at Community College of Allegheny County. He joined the Nicholas Electric Family upon finishing his degree at Dean Technology in 2007. Electrician: Jason Tomkins Jason graduated from Woodland Hills High School and Forbes Regional in 2008. He joined Nicholas Electric in August of 2008. He's a young and prosperous employee still learning and growing in experience with us. He enjoys camping, cars, and motorcycles. Electrician: Steven R. Adamovich Steven was born in Wilkinsburg and raised in North Braddock. He graduated from Woodland Hills High School in 1989. He worked at Jem Products, a window manufacturing company, where he gained valuable electrical experience. Steve enjoys music and electronics and has been with Nicholas Electric for two years.
